Cinco De Mayo: Round 2 Top Performers

Well Round 2 is in the books, so it's time for me to dish out my 2nd set of Top Performer awards. Once again there were several viable candidates to recieve each award, but there are only 2 awards in total to give out.

Top Performer: Hitting

- Majewicz, Carnage

One of Megatron's newer acquisitions, Majewicz earned his stripes in a close win against ReJected. Denied playing time for the entire first 5 innings, Majewicz was subbed into a tie game in the bottom of the 6th. Unphased by the apparent pressure of the tie game, Majewicz did what he does best; beat the crap out of the ball. Majewicz hit that clutch homer that Carnage needed to continue their run at the sunglasses/RotoWire subscriptions. Though Majewicz only saw 1 at bat in Round 2, he'll certainly see a few more at bats in Round 3.

Props to Majewicz for winning his 1st Top Performer Award.

Top Performer: Pitching

-KMAN, Bombers

KMAN met a decent RW NL squad in Round 2. Though the Bombers took a large 1st inning lead, KMAN never let up. He notched 4 strikeouts and pitched a complete game. One of the more impressive pitching performances in recent times, KMAN took a shutout into the 6th inning. Unfortunately, RW NL found a small groove and strung together a few hits past the AI before Day knocked a ball to the outfield that scored 1. KMAN's shutout was lost possibly by the mid-inning exit of Senzafne, but either way he's this round's Top Performer. KMAN was also a candidate for this round's hitting Top Performer award as he blasted 3 HR's in the Bombers' 12-1 victory.

Props to KMAN for picking up his 1st career Top Performer Award.
